Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of transformational leadership and innovative behavior on teacher performance with work motivation as an intervening variable. The population in this study were all teachers at SMK Ma’arif 9 Kebumen with a sample 54 respondents. This study uses a quantitative method, and the sampling technique is non-probability sampling, namely saturated samples. Data management tools used SPSS for Windows version 23.0. The result of this study indicate that transformational leadership does not effect work motivation. Innovative behavior has a significant effect on work motivation. Transformasional leadership has a significant effect on teacher performance. Innovative behavior has a significant effect on teacher performance. Work motivation cannot mediate the relationship between transformational leadership and teacher performance. Work motivation can mediate the relationship between innovative behavior and teacher performance.
