Abstract
This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of intrinsic motivation and perceived organizational support on teacher performance through affective commitment as an intervening variable for teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Sempor. Data was collected by using a questionnaire using a 4-choice Likert scale. The population of this study is the total number of PNS teachers, namely 30 teachers. The sampling technique is saturated sampling technique or all employees as research respondents. Data analysis techniques using descriptive and statistical techniques include validity testing, reliability testing, hypothesis testing, path analysis with the help of SPSS for windows version 25.0. The results showed that intrinsic motivation had an effect on affective commitment. Perception of organizational support has an effect on affective commitment. Intrinsic motivation has no effect on teacher performance. Perceptions of organizational support do not affect teacher performance. Affective commitment has an effect on teacher performance. Affective commitment cannot mediate between intrinsic motivation and teacher performance. Affective commitment can mediate between perceptions of organizational support on teacher performance.
