Abstract

The purpose of this research was to analyze the influence of current ratio, leverage, sales growth, and Working Capital Turnover (WCT) to profitability on food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2014-2017. The population of this research includes all food and beverage companies 14 companies. Selection of samples with non probability sampling method in the form of saturated sampling. Saturated sampling was a method of sampling if all members of the population are used as samples. Data analysis method used in this research was multiple linear regression analysis with IBM SPSS 22 software tools. In this research profitability is measured by Return on A ssets (ROA), leverage is measured by Debt to Asset Ratio (DAR). Hypothesis testing in this research used the statistical test t (t test) to partially determine the influence of independent variables on the dependent variable. In addition, this reseach also used the classic assumption test consisting of normality test, multicollinearity test, heteroscedasticity test and autocorrelation test. The results showed that: 1) the current ratio has positive and significant effect on profitability, 2) leverage has negative and significant effect on profitability, 3) sales growth has positive and ignificant effect on profitability, 4) working capital turnover hasn’t significant effect on profitability. Based on the Adjusted R Square value in this study, the independent variables consisted of current ratio, leverage, sales growth and working capital turnover contributed 54.4% to the profitability of the company.
Keywords: profitability (ROA), current ratio, leverage (DAR), sales growth, working capital turnover.
