Abstract
Website is one of the digital media that plays an important role in delivering information and promoting an institution. To ensure optimal website performance from its initial publication, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) should be implemented during the development stage before the website is published. Therefore, on-page SEO analysis and optimization are necessary to ensure that the website meets SEO quality indicators and is better prepared for publication. This study aims to analyze the performance of the Sahid Raya Hotel & Convention Yogyakarta prototype website based on on-page SEO aspects, identify SEO indicators that do not meet the required standards, implement on-page SEO optimization techniques before the website is published, and compare the website performance before and after optimization using SEO Review Tools. This research employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive quantitative research design. Data were collected through literature review, observation, and documentation. The analysis was conducted using ten tools available in SEO Review Tools, namely Google SEO Checker, Website SEO Checker, SEO Redirect Checker, Google PageSpeed Checker, Page Experience Checker, PWA Testing Tools, Content Coverage Checker, Helpful Content Analysis Tool, Website Accessibility Checker, and Website Security Checker. The research process consisted of analyzing the initial website condition, implementing optimization based on the testing recommendations, and conducting post-optimization testing using the same evaluation parameters. The results indicate that the implementation of on-page SEO improved website performance across most of the evaluation tools, including Google SEO Checker, Website SEO Checker, Content Coverage Checker, Helpful Content Analysis Tool, Website Accessibility Checker, and Website Security Checker. In addition, the Largest Contentful Paint (LCP) metric showed improvement in the Page Experience Checker, while the SEO Redirect Checker consistently produced optimal results. Meanwhile, PWA Testing Tools and Google PageSpeed Checker did not demonstrate significant score improvements due to the limitations of the Google Sites platform and the dynamic nature of the evaluation process. This study concludes that implementing on-page SEO can improve website quality in aspects that can be optimized within the Google Sites platform.
